Something I have a big problem with is prejudice. I know people think that America has no racism, or prejudice but I got news for you people, IT DOES. For race, religion or the lack of, Sexuality, & many others. I’ll give you a few examples from my school. As most of you know I am a big gay rights person, & I don’t know how but me & one of my friends somehow started talking about gay people & he said, quote, “They are all stupid, gross, & are going to hell.” End quote. These are just one of the few examples we have of homophobia in my school. Another example is when my friend said he was atheist, & everyone started saying that he was “going to hell” & a “horrible person.” They started making fun of him & mocking him by saying prayers around him & yelling that he was atheist. I wouldn’t stand for it, so I went to defend him & told them I was atheist. They all yelled at me, called me stupid, & told me I was going to hell. There are all these Christians running around talking about how “god is out of school” & how they “don’t have enough religious freedom. That is all bull. I can’t say anything against them because they are religious. My view doesn’t count at all! How come they get protection but we non-religious people don’t??? If I treated them, & shoved my ideas down their throats, I could get in big trouble. THIS IS PREJUDICE & IS TAKING AWAY FROM MY CONSTITUIONAL RIGHTS & THAT OF OTHER RELIGIONS. Another thing is racism; certain people have more rights than other people! Just think about what’s going on with our current presidential election! Look I am one of those people that thinks that you shouldn’t even notice race, but all these people are going around calling each other racist, & honestly most of those people are the most racist! Look, I know Americas not perfect, no contrie is, but we need to get out of our happy little bubbles of thinking that we have gotten over all these things & do a self examination. I’m sorry, but AMERICA IS PREJUDICE.
